new group journal

sunday, june 29, 2008.

1-1 tie rudely broken by brilliant goal from philippe around the blue keeper oscar 15 minutes from full time. late tally from bob's son? finishes the game off and quiets kelly and his cohorts. great to see jet lag doesn't slow karl (in from hawaii). other scores from dmitri and andrew. several cautions and cards dispensed as the tense match screamed to its finish. better to let your feet do the talking rather than the temper. thanks to franco and all the level headed supporters among the players. maybe next week will look much better. red cards, as a topic/strategy was brought up.
all reply posts must be positive and constuctive. you know.. like the big boys. the sight will be discontinued unless used properly.

Nice start. Good points on keeping temper down. We probably need to reiterate that it doesn't matter what is called or not called, in the big and little picture it doesn't matter so why get upset. Speaking of good ref work, the Euro 2008 final was very well refereed. Even when there was a ball to hand in the box, the ref did not award a PK as it clearly was not intentional. If some of the Inter players knew the rules, they would not be screaming hand ball all the time. Karl
